Sofía es una joven española que pierde a su madre a causa de una enfermedad. Llega a sus manos una enigmática carta que la madre envió en vida a Chile. Ésta ha sido devuelta por el correo al no hallarse el destinatario original.  El contenido de la misiva despierta profundos interrogantes en Sofía, quien se embarca entonces en un aventurado viaje al sur del mundo.  El destino: un ignorado y remoto pueblo llamado “Desierto Sur” en el norte del Desierto de Atacama de Chile.

Sofia is a young Spanish girl who loses her mother to an illness. An enigmatic letter falls into her hands, one that her mother sent to Chile when she was alive. The letter is returned by the post office when the recipient could not be found. The content of the letter raises stirring questions for Sofia, who then embarks on an adventure filled-journey to the south of the world. The destination: an unknown and remote town called “Desierto Sur” in the northern Atacama Desert of Chile.
